The Final Countdown

I am home for the evening. Awaiting Christian and Nicholas my teenage Guys to come see me and give me Hugs and Kisses before I leave out early in the morning.. I am packed and getting so ready to see My sister and her Amazing Children and Husband tomorrow. Praying for safe travels and Blessed with so many emotions. I simply can't find the words to describe what it feels like to have this incredible opportunity taking this trip with My sister and her Family. Thank you Thank you Thank you really does not cover it. ;) We are going to make so many memories.

Last day, last chance

Despite the fact that I packed Sunday morning, I have ten percent packing left (toiletries, last minute items, etc), and the kids are getting wound up enough that it's getting harder to manage them without sedatives. This is particularly true for my teenager, who is smart enough to know that all traditional punishments are unavailable, and therefore, he sees a bigger opportunity to run his mouth. He is now pulling weeds in the back yard which is VERY important before you leave the country because you don't want to come home to a jungle in your former back yard! Sammy is singing some of the French children's songs we learned. So cute! When I went to bed last night, my schedule for Wednesday looked like this: go to doctor at 9 am, home until church meeting at 7pm. Before I got to the doctor's office, my Schedule had evolved to this: doctor, hardware store, dry cleaners, Joann fabrics (town center), and Bio-max. I hope I am home for lunch but the way things are going, I might not be home today. AUGH! Remember the avalanche of papers that must be tamed before I leave? I am so hoping to go to bed at a decent hour tonight before the grueling thirty-six hours of suffering. anyone who knows me well knows that I am a monster without sleep:( a miserable one too! I hate being that person. I hope the wine and melatonin on the plane get me four to six hours. Note to self, get the neck pillows and eye covers out of the closet!
I plan on arriving at the Shreveport Airport in the morning around 4:30 Am. I am so excited to take this journey and it is going to be so amazing doing it with my Sister Alicia and her wonderful Family.. I love you and Can't wait to see you tomorrow!!!

Thirty six hours (give or take a few) till we leave

AUGH! I am so excited, but I am also so stressed. How can I leave the country with that avalanche on my desk? Or the office that is under construction? The homeschool room that isn't ready for school? I'm so busy dealing with the trip that occurred to me today "Hey, I'm going to see my sister soon!" and we're going to France! I have got to google my high school French teacher's address so that I can mail her a post card from France that says "Dear Ms. Holt, you were right! I actually got to go to France in my lifetime." The natives are getting restless. They are so high strung with excitement that getting them to bed on time is a real fight. I packed melatonin, Calms Forte, and Chamomilla to chill them(me) out on the plane. I will be having wine on the plane. I wish you could bring your wine on the plane. (That is one brilliant concept, if you ask me) BYOW on a plane.
